A Psalm of Trust in God - Psalm 37:3-8
- We can trust God because of His faithfulness; we can “feed on” His faithfulness.
(Psa 37:4 NKJV) Delight yourself also in the LORD, And He shall give you the desires of your heart. (Psa 37:5 NKJV) Commit your way to the LORD, Trust also in Him, And He shall bring it to pass.
- God answers the hearts of those whose hearts are attuned to Him and His will. (Psalm 66:18, Prov. 28:9, James 4:3, I John 5:14)
(Psa 37:6 NKJV) He shall bring forth your righteousness as the light, And your justice as the noonday.
- The righteousness of those who trust and obey will be seen; they will ultimately have their justice.
(Psa 37:7 NKJV) Rest in the LORD, and wait patiently for Him; Do not fret because of him who prospers in his way, Because of the man who brings wicked schemes to pass. (Psa 37:8 NKJV) Cease from anger, and forsake wrath; Do not fret; it only causes harm.
- Real trust is having confidence in God even when we do not understand what we see happening.
