Prayer of Jesus: Sanctification and Glory
On the night before His crucifixion, our Lord prayed that His followers:
o Be kept from the “evil one” (John17:15), and
o Be united so that “all may be one” (John17:21)
Sanctification (John 17:17) is essential to escape the world of the evil one and to be unified in the One Body.
Focusing on the future glory that our Lord wants us to see and share (John 17:24) motivates us to leave the world of the evil one and be united with Him.
